Cooking is an art that not all of us are familiar with, but when the chance to learn from an expert chef presents itself, one cannot miss out!

And this is exactly what Ki Pou Kwi is about - the exciting opportunity to discover more about authentic Creole Cuisine and attempt to recreate a Mauritian meal at Domaine des Aubineaux.

This package will allow you to acquaint yourself with Mauritian cuisine and taste delectable dishes. You’ll be taken on a culinary voyage, learning and preparing mouth-watering dishes with the help of a talented chef and feast on local delicacies.

Upon arrival, each team will be given the list of ingredients and a ‘panier bazar’ (bazaar basket) before heading to the local market to purchase the ingredients, while being accompanied by the Chef.

Once back at the Domaine des Aubineaux, the team will start preparing the dishes under the guidance of the Chef. The participants will also be able to discover the local products and familiarise themselves with the spices. Finally, the team will set up the plates and you’ll get to savour the dishes that have been happily prepared as well as taste the famous Saint Aubin rum.

Don't forget to take note of all the little tips and tricks the Chef has to offer that may be useful later on in your kitchen.

Few steps away from the town of Curepipe, amidst an oasis of greenery, peace and tranquillity, is the Domaine des Aubineaux.

Les Aubineaux Restaurant is nestled in the heart of the colonial house which was built in 1872. Made out of teak and local woods from demolished ships, the old mansion was one of the first to be equipped with electricity.

Les Aubineaux Restaurant opened its door in 2008 and offers authentic Mauritian cuisine. Surrounded by gardens with Camphor and Chulta trees, it is sure that one will be amazed by the scenery while enjoying some delicious Mauritian Cuisine.

The estate’s chef will teach you how to make a delicious Mauritian meal and you will have the opportunity to taste your culinary chef-d’oeuvre for lunch.
