Mauritius Attractions offers you this 2-3 days (or more) PADI Open Water Diver Course, consisting of 2 confined sessions and 4 open sea dives, as well as theory sessions and a final written exam.

The first sessions centre on theory and diving training in shallow waters. As for the remaining days, they will be focused on diving in the open sea, exploring the amazing diving sites and marine life Mauritius has to offer while putting to practise all that you have learned.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of 4 main phases

• Knowledge development to understand basic principles of scuba diving
• Learn basic scuba skills through initial dives in protected areas
• Learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques
• Experience Open Water Dives to review and improve your skills and to explore Mauritius' amazing marine life!

• Change of clothes

• Sun cream

• Diving Activity Restrictions*: Must be a Certified Diver (see note below)
• Age Restriction: As from 10 years old
• Health Restriction: The activity is not suitable for pregnant women or persons with medical issues
• This activity is subject to availability and weather conditions. Dives are still carried out under rain unless safety is compromised

*Important note for the Diving Activity

• For the open water diver course, a medical certification of good health, not older than 1 year, is required
• The participant should have basic swimming skills.
• The open water diver course can usually takes 2-3 days, the exact number of days depends on the number of dives you will decide to go on each day
• For minors under 18 years of age, the consent forms and liability release forms must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
• Both beginners and certified divers can be sure to have safe enjoyable dives all year round.
• Diving is not allowed on the same day as your flight; a 24-hour gap is required.
